Let’s Talk: Young Women’s Views on Sex Education

14 February 2016

A survey led by and for young women

Let's Talk is a survey led by and for young women on sexuality and respectful relationships education in Australia. YWAG surveyed over 1000 young women on this topic, releasing their findings in 2016. The survey found that young women want more from their sex education. While the majority of young women reported receiving some type of sex education, the topics covered were limited and outdated. You can read more about the findings from the survey and YWAG's recommendations for strengthening sex education in the Let's Talk: Young Women's Views on Sex Education. The second installment of findings, detailing the results of focus groups, are contained in the report A Whole Generation out of Date: Young People's Stories of Sex Education. The survey was developed from YWAG's paper- Listening to Young Women: The Equality Rights Alliance Young Women's Advisory Group (YWAG) Policy Position on Sexuality Education.
