ERA Submission for the 63rd Session of the Commission on the Status of Women
ERA has recently made our submission of CSW priorities to the Federal Office for Women. This submission aims to inform the Australian Government’s negotiation priorities at the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW63). The Priority Themes of CSW63 are: social protection systems, access to public services and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
“The Commission should affirm that women and girls’ access to social protections is a human right. Accessible and affordable service provision by public or private actors is critical for the realisation of many human rights, particularly social and economic rights such as the right to housing, health, education and food.”
