Young people are leading a discussion on sex, sexuality and respectful relationships education in Australia with a national survey for young women, transgender and non-binary youth aged 16-21. The Let’s Talk survey has been developed by the Equality Rights Alliance’s (ERA) Young Women’s Advisory Group (YWAG), a group of 6 women under the age of 30 from across Australia.
The Commission should affirm that women and girls’ access to social protections is a human right. Accessible and affordable service provision by public or private actors is critical for the realisation of many human rights, particularly social and economic rights such as the right to housing, health, education and food.
