Red Cross - Human Trafficking training

The Red Cross is providing free community awareness-raising training on Human Trafficking. Sessions are being held across Australia in June-September 2012. For more information on locations and dates, please visit AWAVA's website and RSVP ASAP! Places are limited.

The sessions run for less than three hours. Participants will develop the skills to:

  • recognise and respond to people who have been trafficked (victims of violence and/or abuse)
  • assess the needs of clients
  • support the interests, rights and needs of clients
  • work collaboratively, promoting cross-program/service cooperation.

  • Hobart - 14 & 15 June

  • Canberra - 16 July
  • Perth - 23-25 July
  • Adelaide - 13-15 August
  • Sydney - 29-30 August
  • Brisbane - 2-5 September
  • Darwin - 17-18 September
