Position Vacant - Equality Rights Alliance Program Manager

YWCA Australia is seeking a dynamic, experienced policy advocate and manager for Equality Rights Alliance, Australia’s largest network of gender equality advocates.

Based in Canberra, you will be responsible for a small team working with ERA members to deliver policy advice to government that will advance women’s equality in Australia.

ERA’s current advocacy focus is on housing that meets the needs of women, equality laws, and supporting our members to strengthen their federal budget advocacy work.

The position is part-time (three days a week, one of which must be a Thursday). YWCA offers a competitive package which includes the opportunity to salary sacrifice your salary.

Applications close on Monday 30 January 2012. Interviews will be held on Monday 6 February 2012. We would seek to negotiate for the successful applicant to do a handover in the week of 13 February 2012 with a possible later state date depending on notice requirements at current employer (if relevant).
