Please join Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick to celebrate the official launch of guide to using the Optional Protocol to CEDAW and other international complaint mechanisms. The Guide The Guide provides lawyers, advocates and women experiencing violations of their rights with an introduction and a practical guide on how to use the Optional Protocol to CEDAW and other complaint mechanisms at the international level. At the launch Special guest panellists Jane Connors (UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights), Wayne Morgan (The Australian National University) and Edwina MacDonald NSW) will discuss:

  • the purpose and potential of international complaint mechanisms
  • how women can use such mechanisms to seek redress for violations of their human rights
